I have an idea that there are different levels of functionality in different people with depression whether there they’re smiling or not smiling.

I beg to differ my friend....doesn't matter how old someone is.....as long as there is life's breath....everything should be relevant in some form or fashion....what we have to do/decide is the order of importance....love you and happy holidays if you celebrate
