Thank you Gerrerd ๐ appreciate your post advice on panic attacks what to try. I wish I'd seen it earlier ๐ฉ I took a bad laryngospasm (choking fit) earlier after eating a wee packet of parmaviolets sweets think my saliva went down the wrong way. But ohhh myyy goodness I couldn't get a breath in or out what seemed like for ever...probably only 1or 2mins very scary ๐ณ ๐ and suffering from Copd didn't help. Eventually I just cried out Jesus help me ๐ฅบ๐๐ thank God my hubby came in as he had been walking our dog so this helped the panic slightly. Hope you're having a lovely blessed Sunday โค๏ธ๐ค๐

I'm an Agnostic from Ireland so every time I have a panic attack I do what is equivalent, an intake of breath and 'theologise', remember my beliefs, calmness and smile! Works for me every time!๐
Love the map Irisheyes60, many thanks. Iโm from Belfast too but we moved to Norfolk over40 years ago. I have one sister who lives in Belfast and one who lives in the Wicklow hills, itโs so beautiful there. Havenโt been back for a while owing to mobility problems but really hope we can make it over soon as I miss my sisters and friends back home xx
I was born near Belfast, still live just south of Belfast, have a brother in Wales one in Devon, two sisters just near me. Wicklow hills, luvely part of the country! Could really do with a holiday, due to mobility issues, have not had a holiday in nine years!๐

What a lovely message Eileen, thank you so much. Itโs amazing that there are three of us from Ireland on this forum - and maybe even more, who knows? I think Adlon57 said he was originally from Belfast and what a coincidence that we are all vertically challengedโฆ.not that that is anything to joke about but as you say so rightly there are always people a lot worse off. Also the self-deprecating Irish humour helps! I studied at Trinity in Dublin and taught for over 8 years in Belfast High School on the Shore Road, beautiful location and mostly! lovely children. We moved over here in 1982 because of my husbandโs job. Really miss the mountains, Norfolk is very, very flat! How lovely that your name is Eileen, one of my best friends in Belfast is called that. Have a great day and many thanks again for brightening up mine. Patricia xx
I was born in Dunmurry, south of Belfast, then moved to Lisburn, lived there rest of my life, got epilepsy at 14 disabled rest of my life, part time education, eventually got my degree in 2006 at QUB! The black humour always helps us up in Norn Ireland, we are the only ones that appreciates it/understands it! My big sister born in England wanted to get out of, and did so get out of the place, especially during the "Troubles"! Always disliked Lisburn, "so boring ๐ฅฑ" never could associate with the place, but been here over 60 years๐! Got some good friends down in Dublin! My last Aunt is called Eileen?
Thatโs amazing Adlon57, I lived in Dunmurry from when I was 5-11 years old! We lived at the top of Dunmurry Lane, just past the very steep hill. Loved it there but we had to move in 1963 to be closer to schools etc. I did my driving test in Lisburn but donโt know it much apart from the roads! You did very well to get your degree in 2006, good for you. My sister and brother both went to Queenโs, as did I for me Dip.Ed.
Small world, moved from Dunmurry, when aged 5, in 1961, lived at top of hill, large house opposite golf course, where I was born, apparently one of large outhouses had 'dances', a certain young man did some of the "singing" [Van Morrison๐คซ] , night classes at QUB, got it 3 years after death of mother!
Addition to the list: Put an ice cube in your hand โฆ works wonders!
Thatโs a good one, thanks Charlie1!
