Help, please

My partner has decided they want a separation and I'm in a full blown meltdown. Where can a non-suicidal autistic adult with no family or friends turn to if they aren't involved in a church or other social group for support? Are there any resources out there for someone like me?

I saw this website called supportiv where you can type in any problem you are facing and they match you with someone who can help. I’m not sure how well it is as I haven’t tried it though

I don't know if you're located in the United States or not there are the support groups that are available three times a week and run through Nami National Association of mental illness and they're very supportive and they just discuss how they're doing and they meet for like an hour and a half three times a week it's a great support group also

Good morning,

I'm sorry that you are going through this hard time right now.

A few places that I would recommend is to stop by a nondenominational church and ask the pastor if they hold any support groups such as anxiety/ depression encouragement/ support groups in the building. Another place that you might stop by is your local health and community center and ask if they have any information on anxiety/ depression support groups. One more place you might try is to talk to your doctor's office and see if they might have some information as well.

I know you said that you don't go to church, but one more suggestion is praying and asking God for discernment, direction, peace of mind, and wisdom.

I hope that you can find something here that might help you! :)

I'm a Christian and love Jesus for what he did for me as well as all of us, I truly appreciate your suggestions.

I found EFT four days before my first therapy appointment and had a breakthrough using a technique called 'One point tapping' that has enabled me to get a solid grip on my C-PTSD driven responses to triggers, and which has dramatically reduced the incidence of uncontrollable escalations in my mood.

You could go to a church and ask for someone you can talk to. I have done this a few times because I needed someone to talk to and pray for me. I had better luck with the bigger churches.
