I've been hooked on this YouTube channel, indie folk Central, for a while now. I love independent musicians and music that isn't mainstream. This just speaks to my soul.

Oh yes! I found this new wall canvas in a charity shop a while ago. Enlarge to see properly.There was a musical about the Kinks called Sunny Afternoon,on in London about 5 yrs ago..I saw it 5 times 😁

Very cool! 😺 Oh wow, I wasn't aware of the "Sunny Afternoon" musical, but I seem to recall that there was a musical based on "Come Dancing" some time back. I saw Ray Davies solo sometime around the turn of the millennium in Texas -- opened with "Come Dancing," closed with "Waterloo Sunset" -- the perfect show.

Absolutely. It would have been great if he'd performed at the Coronation concert. Idk if he was invited, but personally,I think he should have been.

I saw Ray solo ages ago in London. Back in 2016 I think it was, Dave did a solo gig in London. And- totally unexpected- Ray joined him at the end for 'You Really Got Me' . The audience went wild ! And,of course, I was in tears. A night to remember.😁

I remember Pete Townshend said that Ray Davies should be named Britain's Poet Laureate. I heartily concur. 💜

It would be a dream to see the remaining Kinks reunited one last time, but how special just to see the brothers together -- a memory to treasure.

Thanks! Interesting moment of dramatic irony when the actor playing Ray says "I don't wanna tour America. I don't want to get shot," when, of course, the musician would end up getting shot and wounded in the leg in Louisiana much later in life.
