I've struggled with severe anxiety for my whole life. I have a lot of trauma from my childhood and adulthood. I've gone through a divorce, job change, and relocation all at the same time and it's taken a toll on my mental health. Sometimes I feel out of control and I have an episode of rage/emotions. But I'm always there for everyone. Trying to re-figure out myself.

Have you had any trauma or any type of therapy?

What do you do to help you through raging emotions?

I've childhood trauma and trauma in my adulthood (sexually). I do see a therapist but it just started. My therapist said to keep in mind that my emotions and body are connected and suggested deep breathing as soon as I catch myself and to take that time alone to calm down.

I'm very glad to hear you are in therapy. In time you will learn more ways to cope with things.

Don't give up that's the key. Things may get harder as you work through them but you can find peace.

Deep breathing is like a reset button.

I appreciate it! I practice deep breathing constantly. I am a huge people pleaser. The second I feel unappreciated I get set off. Seems silly. But idk.

No one wants to feel unappreciated. You give to others and often times it's an expectation of theirs not an appreciated act of kindness.

I do constantly seek validation. Not entirely sure why, but I love the way you handle it. I think that's great!

You might try to find a therapist that specializes in treating trauma/c-ptsd. Mine used emdr as part of the therapy and I found it very helpful. Emdr is proven to be very effective for treating and healing trauma/c-ptsd.
