I still tend to worry about what people will think as it was drummed into me from an early age eg what will the neighbours think?etc but at times I find it quite liberating to embrace my eccentric self especially on phone when it is so obviously a spam and I deliberately choose not to hear/ understand etc etc. A bit mean really when the callers clearly do not have English as a first language but I just get fed up with this sort of phone call.

There is truth in this. I am much better at this than I used to be. Still working on it.
