is there anyone else who resorts to hours and hours of endless TV watching or series or movies. And give up on doing anything else. I go into this state if I encounter a stressful situation and it takes me weeks before I can come out of this rut. Apart from this I'm unable to maintain a daily routine

I know where you are coming from. In my case I listen to podcasts not being active at the same time. Motivation and structure are a big problem for me. It canget you down, can't it?

Yep, I have a habit of turning into a couch potato very often. It also takes me a couple of weeks to find my bearings then I'm okay for a while. But I can always count on falling back down that rabbit hole

Yes it's a symptom of anxiety and possible depression. May be an idea to see your doctor.
