I have a question for you all, did any of you started experiencing depression or anxiety after being sick from the COVID virus?! I tested positive back in Jan of this year. My symptoms for anxiety didn’t start showing up till maybe 4 weeks after testing positive. I read an article online were it said that studies have shown that a lot of people who had mild symptoms of COVID have shown to experience depression and anxiety. Can someone please help!

Hello,

I got tested for Covid back in January and it came back negative. That being said I believe there is a high chance I might of contracted Covid before.

After I’ve experienced Cold like symptoms before.

The only way to find out if I did ever contracted the virus is by getting Antibody testing.

If the test show that I did have Covid then I’m guessing my Anxiety & Depression came from Covid itself.

There’s a lot of people that didn’t catch the virus but they do experience Anxiety & depression due to the lockdowns.

Now that everything is opening back up here in the states people have to slowly ease up into society again. Which will be difficult including me.

Hello friend, I'm sorry for what you are going through. I have had anxiety and depression for years but somehow I managed to get along with my life. All that changed after I got infected with COVID. Things went normally for about 2 months after which I had a nervous breakdown. Following this, I saw a mental health expert and have been on medication since. My mental health has been a lot better since then but I still have some bad moments. Please don't lose hope. Things will get better. YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

It is possible. COVID-19 can affect every organ. It difficult to say. It is much easier to connect something like shortness of breath. I would bring it up to your doctor. They report to the CDC so this information can be studied.

Yeah...it's a long covid symptom as well as the whole fear around Covid and isolation that's effected a lot of people.

To be honest, I think that the lockdown has affected everyone; even if we haven't had the virus.

I know I have lost a lot of fitness, both physical and mental, and my memory is worsening.

Cheers Midori
