This is...my angel.....she was born with the all senses a huge open heart, a soul so pure and innocent but I swear she was meant just for me❤ I named her Mable.....after my Great grandmother who I loved dearly. My girl Mabel is strong, protective, sassy, a short stack, acts like she is as big as a horse....she is brave and so intense with me.....this is my first go at having a dog...I always had cats....I found her by luck, I have known her since her first breath. Nothing mattered about "pure bred....papers..or anything" I held her and fell in love with her only after 3 days it was fate. Her eyes were still closed, just the size of a can of pop ❤ the litter she came from only had 1 sister and 4 brothers. I picked her first.....but we were also blessed to meet the sister.....I only wanted 1 dog....I had no clue what it would take to raise a puppy....each time we went to see Mabel, her sister came too....after a few weeks of visits with the girls.....my big, stubborn strong man (who wanted a big uncute....bulldog, a big smelly uncuddly mound of muscle, well because he would say "I'M NOT WALKING A LITTLE FLUFF BALL"....after leaving a visit he says " Could we take both pups?" I freaked out no no we can't......2 how the hell.....he is hard to say no too....but 1 was a huge experience alone......I said GRRRR, FINE! We named her MARLEY❤.... I was so in love what was 1 more, they would never be alone, they could play.....on a whim we began the journey......unfortunately the "house" they were born in wasn't top notch and on 3rd visit without hubby but my oldest daughter.... as we had never passed the foyer I saw a bug....on the wall.....ew....then one the same on the ceiling.....the lady took her shoe once she saw me noticing and hit the bug.....awkwardly....I looked at my daughter and whispered DONT TELL DAD. I only knew cockroaches from living in Libya. We called them 18 wheelers....massive gross nightmares.. ...and my Dad would say "They could carry the groceries inside " they also hissed.....but the "bugs at the breeders looked different and small but gross. Then she said "Oh we have had to get out puppies and all twice now to have people come and spray.....right away it clicked....roaches......the pups were only 4 weeks old.....taken out of house for hours to terminate.......but how the hell did she know it was safe......made my daughter promise not to tell Dad........a few days later he wants to go see the pups.....not knowing about the bugs and me praying the problem was solved.......we are at her kitchen table and of course one scurries behind him on the wall and she whacks it with her shoe......he looks at me in horror.....as another crawls on the ceiling above us. When in the car to leave he said WTH.....I then came clean and said I knew.....he firmly says we need to get them out of that hole. we had no clue what thus meant taking them early......she had their shots done early so we could rescue them. My Mabel had swimmers legs.....i wasn't told and never saw her on the floor.....I was so upset.....we grabbed them and ran when home Marley was weaned and drank water out of a dish right away...Mabel was shell shocked.....she shook out of control...I googled puppy shaking...it said get a puppy sweater it gives them comfort. We did and she slowly relaxed. She wasn't weaned......we had to buy formula and bottles to feed her ........but she also wasn't standing well......after several sleepless nights with persistence we trained her to stand and drink....the rest was not as hard as we thought it would be! Expensive yes, 2 says, microchips and $2400 later....they will be 4 this September 16th. All the articles and vets opinions about adopting litter mates was DON'T DO IT!!! but it was meant to be. I never thought I could love an animal as much as I love them. The end❤
