Really should check with your doc about that.

Celexa (Citalopram) is a SSRI (Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor). It works by decreasing the amount of serotonin your body absorbs thus allowing more to remain in your system for use. Trazadone is a SARI (Serotonin Antagonist Reuptake Inhibitor). It works in a similar fashion to a SSRI, although it targets different serotonin absorption areas.

My doctor prescribed me them to take both but I’m a bit unsure as when i looked up if i could take two anti depressants, it said you shouldn’t

Well, who are you going to trust: your doctor or a website?

If your doctor is a psychiatrist then I, personally, would be more apt to trust them than a family doc.

But that is just me.

Doc can get it wrong. My sister was prescribed a medication and it was a massive mistake to take with her current medication. Lucky for us we double check.

There is an app called medscape- tells you what you can and can’t mix. I use it quite often when given new meds. Green tea is definitely a no no when taking certain depression medication.
