Stopping Trintillex suddenly

Hello everyone on here. I currently take 200mgs of Zoloft and 10mgs of Trintillex for depression. I ran out of the Trintillex over a month ago. I usually get them from my Dr as samples for free since they’re expensive. I’m feeling so freakin down now. My depression has come back full throttle. SAMSON

I hope sudden stop of Trintellix won’t cause you a serious withdrawal symptom since you’re still on Zoloft 200mg. What does your doc suggest you?

I quit a long time use of lexapro 10mg and suffered severe “post acute withdrawal symptoms”. It takes a time for my brain to recover. I’m still suffering.

Hope you won’t suffer so much....

Hugs

Hi thank you. Yes, I’m on the Zoloft but my depression and anxiety are pretty elevated. I’m thinking that it’s probably not taking my Trintillex

You might be suffering from Trintellix withdrawal. Sudden stop tends to cause withdrawal symptoms by worsening your condition. How long have you been on it?

Hope you won’t suffer much. I suffered enough....

I’ve been on it for over 3 years

3 years sound relatively wrong. So it’s likely your brain is shocked by its sudden stop. Your brain seems to need a time to regain equilibrium without Trintellix.

Withdrawals are ugly but it’ll getting better as time goes on. I was so sick but I’ve recovered from it at a certain degree even if i don’t feel totally normal=ok yet. It just takes a time.

Yeah it’s tough to be honest. I was on Effexor for years and the withdrawal was horrific

Yeah I know it so well. I’ve suffered so much. It destroyed my career. Withdrawals are horrific as you say. I suffered sooooo much.... I’m better but still not ok.

Can you get a sample Trintellix again?

I’m trying. I texted her earlier. She’s hard to get in contact with. I just called her but no answer

I’m sorry to hear that. At least your psych will check your message, I’m sure. I truly hope she’ll respond.

Can you sleep or eat?

I can eat and sleep ok. Only thing is my depression and anxiety levels are at an all time high. Waking up in the morning is pretty difficult.

It sounds good you can sleep and eat. I believe Zoloft is helping you.

Yeah my morning is still a h*ll. I take a bath that helps me a bit.

It takes time but your withdrawal symptoms will be less as a time going on. I learned nothing will help me except “time”.

I’m also an avid weightlifter- bodybuilder, and trying to get myself motivated to train has been difficult lately

I think also the fact that both my therapists I have to see via tele health, instead of in person is not as effective. I feel blessed to be able to have the therapists. But it’s not the same. One is for my meds and the other is for talk therapy.

I’m so sorry to hear that. Lack of motivation is a typical symptom of depression.... your brain cannot handle this right now. Antidepressant works but it causes horrible withdrawals.

Natural Antidepressant - tonzes.com/restilen.htm I began taking these a few days ago and my mood has improved drastically. The first day I took 2 pills and by the following day, I felt much better. I now take 1 per day and I haven't cried once in the past few days since taking them. I pray they will continue to work. This time, my sleep hasn't been affected by the pills. I am able to sleep a good 8 hours without drowsiness.
