Does anyone else have a bad habit of googling symptoms or observations of themselves or others, medically speaking?

Yes! I have had to cut all my ties with WebMD. Every time I log onto that website to see if, say, the severity of menstrual cramps is something to be worried about, or what to do about recurring migraines, it always turns out I have cancer or have to rush to the hospital right away or I'll die. Logically I realize that I am fine, but my health anxiety kicks into overdrive. My partner was always more than happy to check the internet for me so I don't have to see the most dire, terrible, and unlikely things that could be wrong with me, but unfortunately we are now separated.

Yes..and per Google's answers..I should be dead by now,lol

I rarely do that anymore😁

Okay. I’m just making sure I’m not alone in this. I google more symptoms in a week than most people do in a lifetime I bet. It’s such a hard habit to break.

I do but I wouldn’t call it a bad habit because google has helped me learn and understand a lot about my body and mind over the years. I don’t do it as much now since I got health insurance again and don’t have to.

All the time. Sometimes it makes me feel worse..
