Hi everyone! I hope all of you are keeping safe and positive at this time. I know we've been going through one challenge or the other. And the pandemic has made it worse. As a coping technique, I've taken up uke recently. Anyone taken up a new hobby lately?

I know it's going to sound weird, but puppeteering a digital, lip-syncing cat. If you're curious, more details can be found in this thread:

What songs do you play on the uke?
I loved it, I can only imagine how many hours you must have spent for it to turn out so wonderful. I'm just starting so basically strumming to keep my mind wandering. but will start songs too, not much of a multi-tasker so playing and singing will take some time. Do you play?
Thanks so much! Yeah, it can take sometimes several hours per video because I use separate software to do the editing, and I'm as clueless in utilizing that software as I am with Facerig. 😸 Also, the lip-syncing and "choreography" for some of the songs used in the videos took dozens of attempts to get even close to right.
Though I don't play the ukulele, I'm currently renting a room in the home of a lady who has a deep interest in Hawaiian culture and she plays the instrument, so I sometimes hear her practicing, or playing recordings of ukulele music.
Are there existing songs that you'd like to play, or do you want to compose your own songs? Do you play any other instruments?
Arts can be such a wonderful way to spend time and being productive. Well, ever since I've started learning the ukulele, I've wanted to play every song that I like listening to. That's not a realistic goal I know. I'd love to play Love and Hate by Micheal Kiwanuka. This is actually the very first instrument I've picked up, even though wanted to learn an instrument for a long time. I don't know what kept me from it. As of now, I just play it to destress.
