Sometimes when I turn my head too quickly, I get this tearing sensation in my neck. Is that normal? I guess this is anxiety related because I just read an article on this 17 year old boy from the UK who turned his neck too fast and ruptured and artery which made him suffer and pass away from a stroke. So now I'm paranoid (there's the anxiety). Seeing a doctor Monday, will ask her if it's normal

I used to have this happen to me. It felt like a tearing sensation, almost like burning. It would be uncomfortable for a bit then go away. It’s been a while since I’ve had that sensation. I always wondered what it was, but nothing worse ever happened so I didn’t worry about it too much. I hope your sensation subsided and you get an answer from your doctor.
