Emetophobia and Wisdom Teeth Removal

Hey guys!

So I’m a huge Emetophobic and I might have to have my wisdom teeth removed. I’ve heard that afterwards it’s not uncommon to get nauseous or vomit, either because of the anesthesia or swallowing to much blood. So honestly I’m just waiting to see if they’ll grow in all the way so I can avoid general anesthesia for impacted teeth.

For those of you who’ve had your wisdom teeth removed what was your experience? Could I get away with just local anesthetic?

Hello there. I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed. Two were impacted while the other 2 were through. Honestly the ones that were impacted were easier. Less pain and they heeled quicker. I did not get sick to my stomach or feel nauseous at all afterwards and anesthesia usually makes me sick to my stomach.

i haven’t had mine removed yet! i’ve been super scared to get it done 😭 the main things that scare me is choking on the gauze or not waking up
