write down my problems, write answers. then just write alternatives, until I realize that problems actually aren't that bad.

exercises - develops focus and makes you drop such tiring things as distractions from anxiety.

I found tremedous release when I found something funny - I'm an odd case, I have been sort of comedian and actually worked as one whole life. I have seen comedy in so many shapes and forms, that I need either really bizzare or really genius humor. Improv still gets me. So .. I found great peace when I started watching Ricky Gervais, Craig Ferguson and Chriss Pratt. Very genuine, very alive and real people who are genuinely funny.

Learning/ studying - best distraction is simply memorization. Especially if it's productive, like for your field or hobby. Studying an trying to memorize or even write about a subject is such a focused activity, you really simply don't have time to be anxious.

I watch things about great people and it soothes me - Great fan of people like Julius Caesar, Schwarzenegger, Einstein - sort of genius oddballs, who excelled immensely. I feel like reading their experience transfers some of it onto me, and I get stronger than average person, and you know.. if you are already here, why be anxious?

When possible I fill my day with work/ adventures/ friends (yeah, social anxiety is not mine. I actually forcefully got rid of it when I was like 17 - by simply socializing, joining teams, groups, dance, theater etc).
emotional adventure will definitely get rid of your anxiety - like going on a hike through snowy forest, amusement park and so on.
Hi Jaebell. I commend you for a great topic to write your paper on, Anxiety. However, I am sorry that you suffer from it like so many others do. It is something that we can overcome. Here is the key to helping yourself and others you know who have it too. It is recognizing what triggers it. Then act upon calming yourself, act upon removing yourself from the situation; person, place or thing. Next, think about it. What caused it. You and I and everyone else has the power within ourselves to control what enters our minds. What do we allow to pass thru our minds onto our heart that causes our thoughts that makes the anxiety. if you recognize it, you can use that power that is instilled in you, to CONTROL YOUR MINDSET. there, that is the key. I hope this helps you. Keep us posted in how you are doing and if you feel like it. post your paper for all of us to see your findings. I am interested how it turns out. Stay focused on positive thinking for it attracts positive results. Believe in yourself. You are not alone. It is a process and it will take time to get to the point of controlling your anxiety attacks. but it is totally doable.. If I can, anybody can. Stay in touch with us here . We are your caring cyber friends.
