Nose bleed episode on Apixaban

Hello there,

I am used to having the odd nose bleed during hay fever season, but I haven’t had any since starting Apixaban at the start of 2024 until this week. I had just stepped out of the shower and it suddenly started like a tap, heavy and quite alarming. Thankfully my husband was nearby and came to the rescue with kitchen towel. Once sat down I managed to stop it in 15 minutes. I was quite alarmed, but having looked at the NHS website information, felt reassured that this is a recognised side effect. I just wondered if anyone has any useful tips in case it happens in the future or when I am out and about.

Many thanks
