Apixaban and joint injection

Hello, I’m having a Cortisone injection into my shoulder next week. I’ve been advised by the clinic that I don’t need to omit taking Apixaban at all before the procedure. Looking online, it says to stop taking it between 24 hours and 3 days before. I am thinking of just missing the morning dose on the day. Has anyone else had this issue?

Hello, I have spinal stenosis and have had a number of xray guided steroid injections over the last 2 years. The only time I was advised to stop taking my Apixaban was for a nerve ablation where they cut and lasered the nerve end . I've never had a problem. My last lot of injections was about 5 weeks ago when I had 4 in my lower back. You should follow the advise of your pain consultant and only stop upur medication if they tell you to. I'm sure you'll feel much better after the procedure , please speak to the team dealing with you if you are anxious about your medication. Good luck.
