I have a history of going very low on vitamin D so was advised to take supplements. Problem is that I'm reading that those taking vitamin D should also take Vitamin K2 to ensure calcium deposits into the bones and not the arteries. For those of us on Warfarin what are we advised to do?
Are we predisposing ourselves to blocked arteries while avoiding clots?

My vitamin D levels are greatly depleted by my anticoagulant. It is important to get a blood test to determine what amount of supplementation is needed to bring levels back up and then maintain. Initially my doctor prescribed a higher dose (2000 iu) for three months and then reduced this to 1000iu daily which I take all year round. It is important to eat plenty of Vitamin K rich foods when you are taking warfarin and to adjust your medications accordingly rather than limiting the amount of Vitmain K in your diet. Low levels of vitamin K can cause Hypercalcemia and it is thought that Vit K and D work together to keep the calcium blood levels stable. My doctor told me that only taking extremely high levels of Vitmain D over a long period of time was a problem. The NICE guidelines on prescribing say that GPs are allowed to prescribe vitamins if these are needed because of a concurrent health condition which applies to you. Perhaps ask your GP to prescribe an appropriate amount rather than rely on food supplentation products.
My advice is only that you come into a special category of person requiring extra qualified advice when it comes to choosing to take any medication which hasn't specifically been prescribed for you. It can be a nuisance to have to check, but there is so much mixed and mis-information on the internet, (often from those who have a specific agenda), that it is a step which will keep you safer and out of jeopardy to check first. Always.
