You aren't the only one to have asked this question, both here and in other support groups. General consensus seems to be that it's fine, but do make sure your tattooist knows you're on anticoagulants, just in case. You may find he or she is reluctant to do your tattoo, but the more experienced ones seem fine with it.

That I'm on Coumadin that's ok. What I'm not 100% sure is that I have had an operation at the ascending aorta and have a mechanical valve?
I was told that I couldn't have acupuncture with a replacement aortic valve as there is an increased risk of a viral infection of the valve. You needed to speak to your cardiac consultant for advice.
I had an aortic mechanical valve fitted 25 years ago and was under the impression you shouldn't have tattoos because of the risk of infection getting into the blood. Having said that I do had accupunture and have never been told I shouldn't.
Not sure I would think no but could be wrong ask the doctor sorry I have a question for you how are you keeping your coumadin level steady I'm having a hard time I had the same thing done as you and watch what I eat no greens can you help me please
Hi. What I can tell you is to take your Coumadin always at the same time. Let's say you take your Coumadin at 4pm don't eat after 1pm and eat before 7pm. Of course for everyone once and then INR gose up and down. Blood test every two weeks. You can eat your greens but around 100gr. I eat everything.
