The evidence suggests that apixaban may reduce the risk of ischaemic (clot related) stroke, but does it increase the risk of haemorrhagic (bleeding in the brain) stroke?
Is it known how it compares with warfarin in this regard?

Not to my knowledge - my father has been put on it following a slight stroke eight months ago, and I doubt they'd have done so if it increased the risk.
Thanks for that. Regards to your dad.
Theyre all pretty much the same statistically but apixaban fairs a little better , personally i got off it after being told i would need to take ir for life i read up on homeopathic remedies and now i take a raw garlic clove in the morning and one at night , i had my bloods checked after taking this for 1 month without telling the consultants and its doing exactly what the drugs were doing .
What condition were you taking the drugs for?
Very helpful, thanks.
