Where was the blood clot? Some blood clots can be healing blood clots, I tore my Achilles heel a few years back and it formed a blood clot on the back of my heel ,the doctor told me not to worry as it was help to heal my tear. Never had problem with it and it dissolved after a few months, that because the clot was not actually in the vein, a blood clot in the vein is more dangerous
