I had a stent a few years ago and am now taking Warfarin and Aspirin ( as advised by my Consultant) Obviously I had a blocked artery, but I want to know what happens to the blockage. Does the increase flow of blood wash it away or does it stay there and get bigger over time

After a stent
A stent is used to open up/expand a restricted blood vessel.
The warfarin is used to prevent blood clots forming and blocking blood vessels. These can occur where there is a restriction or obstacle to the blood flow such as a mechanical heart valve or, I presume, a stent. It's also used to prevent blood clots in the heart if you have AF.
I take warfarin and have been advised that I should not take aspirin too as aspirin is also an anticoagulant.
Do you have another heart condition which requires either the warfarin or the aspirin?
That wasn't the question I asked I asked whether the original blocked artery would be washed away because of the increase of blood flow or whether the blockage would remain and continue to build up.
With the greatest of respect I would prefer to take the advice of my consultant cardiologist with many many years of training as well as the sister in charge of the Warfarin clinic who confirmed that taking Aspirin as well as Warfarin if prescribed (as mine was) is quite a common
