see if anyone on the forum would like to buy it- I have been very happy with self testing and feel much more in control with my machine- same as yours.

Could you please tell me how you were put on a anticoagulant drug that does not need testing as my doctor is most adamant that I take warfarin and I am against it. At present I take aspirin only having just been diagnosed I was wondering if it is the cost that is swaying him.

Dear doubtingdolly. It may be so why not ask him. The most important thing by far however is why you need anything. If you suffer from A/F then you need to know 2 things. Firstly A/F, if not correctly treated, can lead to a stroke and must not be ignored. The second thing is that Aspirin will do absolutely nothing to prevent blood clots or a stroke if you have A/F. By all means debate with your GP about the merits of Warfarin or the New Oral Anticoagulants but get on one or the other as quickly as possible and do not rely on aspirin! All the best

I do live in the uk, in the north east of Scotland, I bought it for £399 but you can now get them for £350 so I was looking at £250-300 as I said barely used
