I have a question for all and more specifically for anyone who is experiencing any cerebral symptoms. For a few years now I have had an episode while driving that goes like this: I will be driving along and all of a sudden I will not know where I am and it will take a few seconds to recognize the location and then everything goes back to normal. This will sometimes happen multiple times during a drive and other times doesn't happen at all. Yesterday I had an episode of this in my hallway and it took a few seconds to figure out that the door to my right was the bathroom door and that is where I was headed. I spoke with my neurologist a few years ago about the driving episodes and she held up her watch and said "how long does it last?" She then said "starting now" and then waited 10 seconds and that time was much longer than how long an episode lasted. Today I went out to clear the walk of the snow and ice and while doing it in as my abilities allow I would clear for maybe 30 seconds and then my head would feel odd and my vision would be weird. So this is seeming like something is going on in my head and not just with balance and muscle control and getting worse. I will have to contact my neurologist and see what she says.
Thank you everyone. Be well and have as good a day as possible!

By any chance do you feel light headed almost dizzy/drunk a lot also? And have times when you can’t find the words in a sentence? Or call people the wrong name?
Hello Equinney,Yes, I do have that dizzy/drunk feeling often and can't find words very often, the name thing has always been an issue for me and seems to be getting to forgetting names that I have known for a time.
I think we are experiencing the same symptoms then. I contacted my neurologist and have an appt on the 14th for a cerebral MRI and appointment right after with her.
Yes, it sounds like a symptom of cerebral. Since I was diagnosed with cerebral ALD, I'm always asked if I forget thing, etc. . An MRI may show active signs of inflammation. Symptoms are the result where the lesion is located which is why I am often asked. Please post your result. Luckily, this hasn't happened to me but this is something they would need to know.
I have been on Gabapentin for quite a few years now and haven't found many of the side effects that others have mentioned. Anorgasmia is the one that has been there, but that was worse with Lyrica, and I don't know how much of it is from the med or from the lack of sensation. I will discuss possible side effects that could be going on that looks like this with my neurologist.Be well and have a great day!
