I had my Astra Zeneca vaccine last Monday at 10.15. I up dosed my first hydrocortisone only because I don't like injections! It felt like a bruised arm for about 3 days. ( Choose the arm you aren't going to lie on!) I felt very tired at times for 4 days but my husband and several friends said the tiredness affected them as well. Otherwise no problems at all.

I had the AstraZeneca vaccine at 11.15 am and from midnight I had a bad headache and fever I shivered all night! For 24hrs I had a bit of a headache and felt a bit dizzy but not too bad! At least it’s a sign of the body making antibodies!

All the best

Steve

Thanks Steven. You are always 'straight to the point', and that is very helpful to us.

My wife and I had ours done on 15 Jan. We both had the Pfizer vaccine.

I felt fine afterwards. My wife felt decidedly off-colour for 2 days but nothing too serious.

Hello, I had mine at 9.30am. Felt good all day but woke up shivering about 2am the next day. Had a high temperature but controlled this with paracetamol. Felt rough for 2 days. Had a slightly sore arm for a week. By the way in was the AstraZeneca jab.

I had the AstraZeneca vaccine the 6th of February at 12h30. The same day at 21h00, I started to have a very high temperature ( 40.4°C), very strong headache, burning red eyes, desire of vomiting. I suceeded to lower my body temperature using cold water to feel better the next day but I continued to be tired for a week. I have spoke with a nurse specialised in AMN who told me many other patients immune system overreacted after the same vaccination.

Hi, I had my Covid AstraZeneca vaccine on the 14th February, approx 10.00am. Was ok till the next morning, I had an awful headache my temperature spiked all day long. One minute I was shivering then boiling hot the next. My eyes were very sensitive and I’m very fatigued. After looking on line I surmised that the reaction is so bad because I actually had Covid Dec/Jan. Day 3 and headache has almost gone, temperature is normal but just about to have a nap.

I had the AZ vaccine last week at 3:30pm. At 12:30am I woke and was shivering so violently, neither me nor my wife could sleep. Dosed up with paracetamol (acetaminophen), hot water bottles, clothes on and central heating on and I slept and woke at 2:30 far too hot and had to reverse everything. Next day felt like a hangover. Second night was fine

If you read the blurb, the side effects are everything and anything, as usual. Nurse tells me that AZ vaccine side effects are common, while Pfizer is rarer but can be more severe. I don't have Addison's.

I had my AstraZeneca vaccine on Thursday, and was fine for the rest of the day but had an awful night of fever and shivering - ended up spending the next day in bed! Judging from everything I've heard it's quite common, but far better than the potential alternatives of COVID-19 of course. (I'm AMN with Addision's too.)

My French doc. wouldn't allow me to have the Astrazeneka vaccine and so as soon as the Moderna vax was set up in one of our villages I had that, now one week ago. No side effects at all except for a sore arm for one day but I can't even complain of a headache or extra fatigue. Its very similar to the Pfizer vax which is apparently well tolerated. I have my 2nd vax in early April, four weeks after the first jab, so I'll expect another sore arm and that's it.
