I have several PATIENTS with AMN and try Nervonic acid", said to have seen obvious effects, I am going to try it recently, I want to ask you, do you understand.

Nervonic acid Have you tried it

From the Wikipedia entry I can only see that Nervonic acid is a form of VLCFA and related to erucic acid, a component of Lorenzos' Oil. We know that the latter does not work except possibly for a percentage of presymptomatic boys. At least part of the reason is due to the blood-brain barrier which means that the VLCFA's don't get as far as the Central Nervous System to be useful.
I would not expect this therefore to be any different and hence I wouldn't place any expectations at all on it.

this looks interesting. monkeybus any thoughts?
Don't know if it'll slot into my "We are saved again (again)" category.I like how this report is dated 2022. Plenty of old reports about Lorenzo’s Oil.
One of the reasons I never drank the mustard oil is how it's poisonous. I was offered Lorenzo’s Oil a while back, but the neurologist said it would nullify my health insurance.
I should dig through all my old posts and make a compilation to prove how 100% cured we all are.
This Nervonic Acid actually looks very promising.
Here is a report on our disease:

And here is one about Nervonic Acid and remyelination:

It's done, let's pack it all up. We are done here. I'll get the drinks in tonight.
The more I read about this, the more I like it.

Not cheap, something of a niche supplement.

we have elevated VLCFA compared to the regular human, so why would we want more?
Swordfish is damn tasty, can't say I've made a habit of eating it. I never could get my head around the Lorenzo's Oil theory. It plainly doesn't work for AMN, I'd be swilling it down if it did.
I'm happy to be proved wrong though.
I had high hopes for Valproic Acid, took it for two years, didn't make a blind bit of difference to my VLCFA levels.
And the high dose vitamin regimen. Works for rodents, not for humans.
are you going to look into this further?
I'll hunt around, but these reports are pretty recent. Not too much hard info out there.
I often turn to Multiple Sclerosis research. As far as I am concerned, enough of the symptoms are close enough to ours (or mine at any rate).
There is earlier research into Nervonic Acid for MS remyelination.
pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/313...
And a report from this year, linking Nervonic Acid to MS and Parkinson's Disease.

It looks good as a remyelination agent, as usual, no human trials. I made a list several years ago of drugs/supplements that foster remyelination. I'll re-post it.
