I contacted someone from the study; it appears it stopped after trials in mice. He replied that some people had contacted him, and are working with their doctor and this medication. Metformin is normally used as an anti-diabetic drug. I believe the proposed mechanism in AMN is to help up-regulate the ABCD 2 gene. I have a meeting with my doctor, the first of October.
