Call for rare conditions drugs fund (in England)

An important debate is set to occur in the NHS in England about rare disease funding.

This is the BBC link: bbc.co.uk/news/health-23930267

The issue is that a ring-fenced budget for rare diseases may be subsumed into the overall NHS budget in England . (Note: Scotland and Wales fund its NHS separately).

The BBC article invites readers to post comments about their rare disease experience, so this is a good opportunity to get some publicity for AMN and ALD. Please reply to the BBC link if you feel OK about doing this.
