Would this treatment prevent the gene from being passed on??

This treatment which switches the mitochondria in IVF - would it allow a child to be born without the gene or is ALD not present in the mitochondria but elsewhere? I'm afraid my GCSE science has failed me in trying to interpret this!!

Ah right - the station. Have they mentioned ALD at all?

Had to go out to physio so I unfortunately missed most of the show.

I would like to know if our future mums would have the choice of PGD or this procedure and if one is more preferential than the other.
