So sorry to see...

We have almost 2, 500 members and not more of our members feel the need to post or reply to posts?

Hopefully lack of posters is because your going through some kind of remission. That would be fantastic.

But can I please remind you this forum is open to everyone. It doesn't matter which part of the country or world you are from :) you will alway be warmly welcomed xxx

I'm still here. Quiet at the moment as I'm in lockdown and also spending a lot of time trying to furnish my new bungalow, so the place is full of cardboard and packing peanuts. Getting inventive in order to find new ways to repurpose stuff.

Expecting a washing machine later today, so fitting that will be fun, but it will be a relief to be able to wash clothes again. Need my son to help me with curtains, but right now he's furnishing his state of the art Man Cave!

Bedroom furniture in a few days time, will be able to stop using the bookcase for clothes storage then, and unpack some books and DVDs.

In the garden (sorry, desert of Paving slabs and gravel) I'm getting some stuff into pots, and containerising salad plants. Had one disaster; bought a sad looking Forsythia, and left it in a place in a pot which got badly soaked, so it looks as if I've drowned it, but there seem to be more viable buds, so I'll prune it and give it another chance.

With all this, I'm becoming very exhausted, but I'm taking care not to get myself into a flare situation.

On the shopping side, I can't get an online slot with Tesco for love or money. Went online at 00.12 to try and they were already gone, Tesco doesn't make allowances for folk in Wales to get priority slots, so I'm risking getting the Virus because I have to go down there in person, despite age and conditions. I don't drive any more, either as I only have sight in one eye now. The YouGov scheme only covers those in England. My Tesco doesn't have a full range of goods, either, which is another bone of contention. Sorry, Tesco rant over.

What else is new? Well, I'm fascinated by the aircraft which go over. We aren't on a direct flightpath, so we get very few big blighters, and the cop chopper of course, but I have found a site called Flightradar, which is amazing if you like to see where various flights are going to and coming from, and which companies they belong to. Most of them are carrying PPE and other essential goods, such as food, and equipment. the Helicopters are still going from Aberdeen out to the oil rigs, and there are a hew Helimed flights around too. Its actually quite quiet in the skies right now. Been fascinated by the Survey planes which run Mapping patterns etc., something you don't see often.

Anyway, that's what's been happening Chez Midori just lately.

Cheers, Midori

YEH for Midori, glad your still with us 👏👏

Boy you sound like super woman to me lol Could your son not do the shopping for you? That would be one less job to do.

It's such a mammoth task when we move homes. It must be worst moving to the other side of the country as well.

I bought one of those Forthsythia that you grow in a large pot. I Only got towards the end of last year. The yellow flowers looked gorgeous but they don't last long starting to drop off now and loads of green leafs growing.

The one thing I've learnt about those plants they are very hardy. I just have to remember not to prune till all the flowers have been and gone. Other wise I read they won't flower next year.

Good news they have PPE been shipped in it sounds like it's sorely needed. But I guess that go's for everyone around the world.

It's been great chatting. And remember Rome was not built in a day. We don't want you becoming a member of the ODIC club. I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend. Take care and stay safe 🤗🤗

Unfortunately, my son is agoraphobic, or I would insist he did it. he's also on the Autism spectrum, so a bit of a no-no. Would be deeply embarrassing for him to Melt Down in Tesco!

Also someone has to be here for deliveries; they are coming thick and fast right now! Would be just my luck to have something arrive and nobody here to help.

Cheers, Midori

I can empathise with your son. I have agoraphobia too. Last year I actually slowly started going out for a coffee with my hubby. Never got to sit in or outside of the cafe. But the latte tasted just has good in the car. It also got me out of my home for a short while and see other people passing by.

Sadly this dreadful pandemic has push all the progress back to square one. But it could be worse and I'm thankful for what I have :)

Hi there Tiny, glad to see your still looking in :) Sorry to hear about your back. I'm a wheel chair user due to back problems so I do understand your pain.

I also think we all will probably start to feel a lot more pain due to lack of movement. I know I feel worse since the lock down.

I hope your back pain eases down for you soon xx

Hi Mo am still here trying to keep everyone spirits up by emails, texts and on here at times too. Your right Midori is a superwomen managing all that on her own I hope she takes care and paces herself, your right forsythia are a very hardy plant I planted one a couple of years ago, not very bit but had flowers on this year and this wind we had earlier this year snapped a piece off, so stuck it in to the ground and looks as though it could have taken, so got two for the price of one. I also agree that the supermarket that was mentioned is not very well stocked at the moment. Take care my friend Love & Hugs Xx

Awww bless Lynne, I was talking about the amount of old members in general that don't feel the need to post since joining. But we seem to have a very friendly little group going here now. So hopefully if they feel the need to chat or have a question they may wish to return. I do hope so the posters we have stopping by now are such lovely friendly people :) xx

Oh my goodness, I hear you about the laundry where does it come from 2 loads yesterday and yep on to my 3rd and final load just now. And I bet the wash basket will be full again by the end of the week. Thankfully Hubby does all the lifting. Try and rest up a little today Midori xx
