Having a flare up is like waking up full of the flu with shoulders heavy,stiff neck, head feeling like its going to explode....then I try to move and realise every limb is like a concrete weight. Skin is crawling and I feel cold and shiver. It takes every effort to climb..out of bed..and make it to the kitchen.. The kettle feels heavy....

All I want to do is go back to bed and sleep...don't want to feel like this...don't want to cancel my plans until I feel well again... I have been exercising..following a healthy diet..sleeping regular...I felt relatively 'normal' yesterday....I was able to exercise..focus...organise..

Then today it all comes crashing down again...I have long given up trying to explain myself to people...I just say I feel under the weather and then I agree when they say "there's alot going about"

So that's...my first post on this community... Just to say hi....

Fibro is so hard to explain but you sure did a good job of it. I've said for years "it feels like my bones are cement or they are lead & the earth is a huge magnet pulling me down towards it." I also have herniated discs and other back problems stenosis, degenerative disc disease. Plus chronic iron deficient anemia & chronic B12 deficiency both of them drain your energy. I feel like I have been trying to "prove" that I am sick for most if not all of my life. I'm so sorry you are in such pain. I hope both of us find some way to heal our bodies & then our souls from the damage they have also endured.

Best wishes,

Wanda

Welcome to the AFMCG UK Community! :)

Sorry to hear you've had this flare and apologies I've not replied sooner. How are things going with you now?

As a newbie, I've noticed you haven't locked this post to the community and this means it is open to be read by anyone on the internet. Locking it means that only the first few lines can be read, here's the link to do this;
