Good morning everyone, I have paroxysmal A Fib. Recently put on Eliquis 5 mg twice a day. I feel like my bones and muscles hurt. Also yesterday getting into my husbands pickup I apparently stretched my inner thigh muscle so now when I walk it hurts really bad. I know I can take Tylenol but a have a prescription for naproxen 500 mg. Not sure if I can take this. What do you all take when you have pain ? Would the arthritis tylenol 650 mg. Maybe be better ! Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Any NSAIDs are contra indicated if you have AF.
An alternative that may help is cold therapy that reduces swelling and pain right after muscle strain, while heat therapy relaxes muscles and blood flow after—cold tackles the swelling, and heat eases tightness. I also find a few short treatments with a physiotherapist helps with the pain in my joints when it flares.
I take Apixaban in the UK and I was told it had no side effects. Well since being on it I get aching joints and muscles. I used to take ibuprofen but cannot now so I take paracetamol and the occasional codeine tablet. It appears to me you either snuff it early or take the tablets. So you take the tablets. No one in the Doctor's ever checks my AF so I presume it is still there and get on with things I think so many oldies have it they just don't bother.
I take Apixaban and have the most horrendous aches and pains. In my knee and in my back. I don't take anything but have relented occasionally with a couple of paracetemol. I only have the bad pain in the back when lying in bed. The knee pain is mostly there all the time. I can't say if it's caused by Apixaban but can't be sure
