I gave myself norovirus for my birthday today and the experiment worked, into AF hours later, just like the episode which diagnosed me in 2013.

So yes definitely a link, cant recall who posted on it being a possible link.

Oh and the water is off for few hours. Great !

I cant help.be suspicious Mr W did a birthday buffet for me Saturday night...hmmm lol!

Happy birthday despite the norovirus. Things like that trigger my afib every time. Not good. Hope you recover very soon. The water being off is the last straw. If things come in threes then you have your hat trick right there.

Just when you don't need the water off either.Happy Birthday. I prefer perfume personally, but can appreciate in these austere times, a viral present is at least free.

Get well soon and keep your man out of the kitchen. 😁.x

AF works in mysterious ways, this year I had gastroenteritis, a very bad skin infection on my leg with two weeks worth of antibiotics, a bowel infection and now a cold - all with barely a whisper of AF since the episode preceding the sequence. Go figure!

Sorry to hear what you're going through and hope you're soon feeling a lot better. Hmm so Mr W did you a birthday buffet, don't mention anything to him or you'll never be treated so well(?) again.

I hope you get a chance to have a HAPPY BIRTHDAY. On the plus side think of the weight you'll lose, if that's needed.

I remember a doctor telling me years ago to drink lemonade if being sick (not the stuff with artificial sweeteners but good old fashioned sugar).

Jean xx

My Mum used to give me lemonade for a poorly tum when I was little .......... to be fair, she gave me hot lemonade if I had a cold. Still do to this day (but ginger in hot water for the tum as well now) Lemonade, the cure for all ills 😁 .

Norovirus triggered it for me in May on a cruise ship (it was my birthday trip but I’d recovered by the time it was my actual birthday). It was the first time since my last ablation five years earlier that I needed to seek medical attention - a sustained heart rate over 200bpm in the middle of the Mediterranean was a worry but thankfully there were excellent doctors, nurses, equipment and drugs on board.

Happy birthday!
