Abalation Booked

I have my ablation booked for this month with Professor Schilling after my initial appointment. Lovely gentleman who explained things very well. Very nervous to have the ablation and worried but at the same time i realise it is needed for my PAF going on permanent AF.

Does anyone have the links to the ablation guides etc. Would love to have a read. Thank you, Tom

Hi Tom. I am going to have an ablation, no date yet , but very nervous also. Was wondering what investigations they do? I think you have to attend a pre op clinic ?

I had an ECH prior to my appointment with professor Schilling who spent time explaining AF/Flutter and the different routes. Agreed Abalation was best and got it booked in (private)

you will be in very good hands. He did my ablation nearly 10 years ago and I am still virtually AF free. You have to do your part though and maintain a healthy lifestyle following. I’m sure it will go well.

Wishing you a successful ablation! I found it a straightforward procedure and the patient info forms were always at my side. Make sure to read them over several times.

Are you having your ablation done on the NHS or privately Tom?

Carried out my Ablation 12yrs ago and cannot speak highly enough of him and his ‘then’ team. Was resident in Bart’s back then..is that still his home venue? I have had AV node ablation since and overall would not change ANY of the choices made since those ‘heady’ days of JOY…good luck you are in the hands of the very best😊
