Not normally offered I'm afraid.

Why that than is it because it’s hard to catch when trying to ablate?

I went for one just for mine and they couldn’t induce them so no ablation for me .

It’s not that simple they first need to establish what’s causing the ectopics are they coming from the atrial (top) or the ventricular (bottom) part of the heart . It’s a bit more complicated if they are coming from the Ventricle

Like mine I have RVOT right ventricular outflow tract Tachycardia. Ablation is not always successful especially with A-fib but with SVT and VT it’s got a very good success rate. I actually personally know 2 ppl who had ablation for SVT and another lady who had ablation for VT about 9 years ago and they have all been healthy since the ablation.

I did on April 27th. My EP did ablate and was able to find a spot. Once he took me completely off my meds I was so active he was excited to get started. I was having one almost after every beat. He was able to induce them too. Still too early to tell if it worked or at least helped. For a couple years now I have I felt all of them! And am very aware of my heart rate fluctuations. I was on a couple different anti arrhythmic medications but the PACs (mostly, because I would have a few PVCs, and SVTs) would eventually start to work through them. The success rate isn’t at high as it is for other issues (from what my EP told me) because I have so many. But I am trying to have faith that in the upcoming weeks things will calm down and get better. The procedure went smoothly. I did have to stay the night in the hospital but only as a precaution to watch my incision site because after the 4 hours of laying completely still they got me up and I started to bleed again. Everyone is different. Would I do it again if this time doesn’t work? Without hesitation!!! I have an amazing EP!

How many where you getting a day?

With medication I was getting over 4000 a day and without medication that was doubled and almost tripled.

And has that number come down after abalation? I hear abalation for ectopics is very successful as it’s a lot easier to ablate

I think it has but it too early to be certain. This is only the 10 day post ablation. My first 4 days I didn’t have any and it felt amazing! Then the next day I had a bad episode of them. They went away and came back the next day. I have had them the last few days but were tolerable except for them waking me up at night . Right at the moment I can feel them but not as often. So am praying that each day that goes by it will be less and less. I am not on any medication since 5 days before and it’s definitely not as bad as the days before my ablation.

That’s fantastic news that they are settling and it’s only 10 days I say you have a 3-6 month healing process to you are 100%

Thank you! I am trying to stay optimistic about it. I have been getting a little discouraged on the days that I have had bad episodes. Probably because I got a taste of not feeling them at lol . But I am very hopeful and do not regret doing the ablation at all. After all I have gone through if the ablation makes it at least tolerable and with no medication I will consider myself blessed!
