Remain on Eliquis during ablation
Yes, I had to sign that I had taken regularly for at least 3 weeks prior to ablation. Even patients that were not on anticoagulant regularly would need to be before the ablation.

Thank you just worried about bleeding but Dr seemed pretty confident that is what was necessary.
They constantly monitor your coagulation during the procedure and actually give you more “thinners” intravenously I believe to prevent clotting. I have POC (point of care) blood test results on my records from the time in procedure. They don’t leave anything to chance, try not to worry. Good luck.
That seems to be general nowadays. I stayed on warfarin for my recent ablation but seem to remember stopping some years ago for earlier ones.
Yes. Years ago they use to stop anticoagulaation for ablation but they now continue. The thinking is it reduces the possibility of micro-embolii often produced during the procedure and thus reduces the following brain fog ,
Yes, I stayed on it throughout my ablation
I am having an ablation at the end of this month and was told to take my edoxaban the day before but not the morning of the ablation. Best of luck with yours though being an anxious type I am very nervous about it.
I had to come off it 3 years ago for mine but they gave me heparin during the procedure.I did question why they told me to stop one but then gave me another but they said it was so they could control the dose precisely.
Ablation last week. Hold it the morning of only. Back on it that afternoon.
