Paroxysmal atrial fribulation and bisoprolol

Well after all my trials recently with medication just done another 72hr ecg privately .was taken off all medication for this and guess what no symptoms lol till the last night and off my friend went whilst I was sleeping soon got it under control within in mins then took 1.25 mg bisoprolol and went off to sleep ,

awaiting my results and possibly on to flecanide or ablation kind of been given the job of playing with my meds to get through with there eye on me so I have had a better result whilst I split a 2.5 bisoprolol in half apparently its a slightly lower dose about 10 percent less for the split which I take only one tablet a lot softer on me but not perfect doctors were interested in that just wondering if anyone has split a 1.25 mg bisoprolol , not that I'm recommending this

for me its the only choice and I can get to work and look after my family as all other meds don't let me function at all , Sat's and bp are checked by me twice a day I am not a medical professional and keep doctors. And cardiac doctor informed and updated

I am in persistent afib. I guess I self medicate now as there is no access to anyonein my area in North Essex unless you have major symptoms or you pay privately.

I am down to half a 1.25mg bisopropol taken in the morning and I do feel less breathless. The only worry for me is when I 'up the ante' as I call it i.e have a meal, do gardening, exercise, etc, get excited about something etc I can feel my heart also upping the ante until at some point it settles down.

That is how I am living and hoping I'm not causing heart failure etc but generally I feel much better this way.

Hope this helps.

Hi

There is a 1/2 line across a 2.5. No 1/2 line across at 1.25 in 1/2 again.

My ECG went heywhy at 1.25 so I remain on 2.5 Bisoprolol.

Best wishes

Mine have recently changed from grey to white. These would be near impossible to 1/2 the 1/2 again.
