Not familiar with that facility and PFA, but I do know that PFA was first done in the UK at Royal Papworth so the ep's there have probably done more at this time than at any other UK center.

Since relatively new, I would just ask the ep how many PFA's they have done. Don't expect a huge number since new, but I would want at least 50 in addition to thousands (not hundreds) of RF and/or Cryo's under their belt.

I’ve just searched this forum for Nuffield Oxford and yours is the only post that comes up. healthunlocked.com/search/p...

I’ve heard of 4 places so far doing it in the UK, Papworth, Liverpool, Bournemouth and more recently Leicester. There may be more and I would expect others in the near future.

Best wishes

I had aPF ablation under Prof Timothy Betts at the JR in Oxford. I also agreed to take part in a Watchman device trial which means post ablation I no longer take anticoagulants.

I cannot praise him or his staff enough. They are caring and an outstanding team and he is at the forefront of developing new techniques and therapies as well as the culture of his unit.

You could not hope for a better person for your procedure. Best wishes

Jeff

Wow thanks Jeff,I was beginning to fear that I had dreamt they were performing it at Oxford. Great to hear you had a brilliant experience and I wish you all the best for the future.

Hopefully you remain Afib free.🤞😀
