I’ve been on it 4 years, tried a few doses but now settled on 1.25 twice daily, higher doses make me a bit to tired.

I couldn't cope with this as it made me feel worse than the AF. Actually couldn't take any beta blockers, calcium channel blockers or any type of rate or rhythm control. I am now in low rate permanent AF and just take anticoagulants and feel fine.

I just take what I’m told to..very difficult to isolate an effect of one thing ..particularly having health problems anyway. I’m quite envious of the many people on here who seem to be able to discuss things ..with GPs Cardiologists etc …I wouldn’t get anywhere near proper medical personnel..

if you are having severe side effects there are other beta blockers. My doctor put me on nebivolol as he said this doesn’t cause breathlessness/ tiredness. So far seems a lot better but on very low dose 1.25.

Do you feel like a zoomie , dizzy ? I JUST PICK UP A NEW MEDS AND SURPRISE TO SEE IT IS Nebivolol, you have no side effects?

No, I have no side effects. I can get my 10,000 steps(when I bother!) and no breathlessness. I found bisoprolol made it very difficult to do much activity.

Good luck

I thought the lowest dose of Nebivolol was 2.5mg! Maybe it does come in lower that that!

I've been on it since Nov 2019 when I was first diagnosed, and have been ok .The GP recently increased the dosage from 2.5mg to 5mg daily a month ago and it doesn't seem to have affected me. I have asthma and that hasn't been affected.

You are talking about Nebivolol 2.5 mg?

No, Bisoprolol. It's the only beta blocker I've been prescribed. I've never heard of Nebivolol.

I am on METROPLOLO AND I have brain fog so now my doctor has given me a prescription for Nebivolol which real name is BYSTOLIC! I will start this drug tomorrow!
