Golf after ablation

Hello all

I am due to have my ablation for atrial flutter / left side atrial tachycardia in a couple of weeks. I am down to play 18 holes of golf on successive days 10 days after that; is this over-ambitious? Should I leave it longer and scratch from those events?

Thanks

I would definitely say over ambitious having had my ablation four weeks only and only just feeling I’m turning a corner. Good luck with the procedure

Hi Nan,

Glad you are feeling a bit better… has the AF settled down now for you. Week 5/6 for us both so hopefully our hearts are wellon the way to healing

I had a couple of nights of eptopics last week and upped my normal magnesium supplement which the ep recommended and that has now settled….

Otherwise getting back to normal.

Hi Tiff, nice to hear from you. Yes the time is moving on for us following our Ablations. Glad to read that things are good for you. Much the same for me now. Really only in the last four or five days have things really started to settle. Get quite a few ectopics as well that are not too nice. I don’t take Magnesium but wonder if I should. It’s interesting to read that your EP told you to increase the dose. Can I ask the name of the tablet you’re on?

My EP is very pro magnesium, asked if there was any particular type and he said no they all work and what you don’t need will be excreted from the body.

I get Lamberts magnesium 365… it has 4 different types of magnesium in it .

I take one tablet daily and an extra one if eptopics start and it seems to work … worth a try maybe.
