DOAC - changes

Some time ago, I started Rivaroxaban but stopped due to side effects.

Was switched to Apixaban but had more (different) side effects from that.

My GP was very helpful and suggested Edoxaban. It appears that the choice of DOAC is as much random rather than individually considered for the patient! At her previous surgery, they prescribed Edoxaban ahead of others.

I did ask, and she said it is slightly more expensive, but not sufficiently so to be a problem.

I seem to be doing OK - without repetition of any previous side effects.

Just posting in case it is of the slightest interest to anyone who might have side effects.

A month or so ago I posted:

healthunlocked.com/afassoci...

Which linked on to more information which just might suggest that Edoxaban being weakly metabolised by CYP3A4/5 is a reason it seems better for me.
