Will the ablation happen??

Like a lot of people we haven't seen the lesser spotted postie too much lately but they did come today!! In amongst what seemed like a weeks worth of post was a pre op appointment for this coming Friday and the ablation on the 21st December. I checked and junior Drs are off on strike again at that time, I will ask at my pre op if it will go ahead but has anyone had their appointments cancelled last minute due to the strikes??

Hi. Not everything is cancelled when the juniors are on strike. Their clinics and theatre lists are but the hospital know well in advance so I wouldn’t have thought they would have issued an appointment at this stage and cancel it due to the strike . Although people can be ill etc and appointments cancelled for other reasons . My consultant appointment went ahead during the last juniors strike , and my partner and daughter are both consultants and work normally during the juniors strike so try not to worry too much. Totally agree re postie . Haven’t seen mine for days . My friends turned up after several days yesterday and she received 20 Christmas cards and a pile of other post . What are they doing ?!

I delivered the post one Christmas when I was a student . Quite enjoyed it.

Our postie said that they had vacancies that folk would fill....but management wanted savings.

Just love your observation on “the lesser spotted postie”! Things are so different from when I was a Christmas postie for several years when a student!
