Ablation

My INR went from 3.5 on Monday to 2.9 on Wednesday so I am off to Papworth today for my pre op checks with ablation tomorrow. Feeling calm at present but I am sure the nerves will get me in the morning. Can't wait to start feeling better and get my energy back. Will post progress afterwards for all you people waiting for your own. Kept well everybody.

I was given an INR target of 3-4 for my last ablation. But it dropped to about 2.5-2.6 just before. But they went ahead no problems.

Good luck, let us know how it goes. Hope it goes as well as mine did which was brilliant and kept me clear for a long time.

Good luck with your ablation tomorrow. I'm sure you will soon be fighting fit, but make sure you take it easy afterwards and let your heart heal well. Best wishes.

Very best wishes. My EP wants my INR to be below 3 for my ablation.

My INR on the day (yesterday) was 3.2 but they said that was fine and successfully ablated me. I was anxious leading up to it but not on the day and felt quite calm as they took over. I think I was more worried about the TOE but apart from the spray to the throat I have no recollection of it. They were also brilliant about pain control and listened to me and got it spot on. The hardest bit was getting a sweet tea afterwards!

Good luck tomorrow and will be thinking of you.C

Thank you all. I really appreciate your good wishes

Good luck with the ablation,I found that once I was at the hospital there was that much going on and the nurses where so good and efficient the nerves just went away, and believe me there is nothing really to be nervous about,it,ll be over with before you know it.
