Super useful ablation interview

I know many of you already follow Dr Gupta, York Cardiology, but for those who might have missed it, I thought it worth sharing a link to his excellent recent interview with Dr Nasir, a Consultant Electrophysiologist. Although the conversation primarily centres on ablation, it also covers many other related areas, for example anticoagulation. I found it to be a mine of useful information.

I think they said he’s just joined the York team.

That makes sense, I haven't listened to it all yet, looking forward to the rest 😁.

Well worth listening to. I had my ablation in August and so far so good. Now understand why my consultant said he wanted to get me off Flecainide

Thanks so much for suggesting this video. Just finished listening to it, it was excellent!!

Brilliant video. What was most interesting is that he said that cryoablation is 80% successful on people with a single ablation. And that a second ablation is done to target rogue signals that are not coming from the pulmonary veins where the freezing balloon was in contact with.
