Anyone know why that post was taken down?
Last time I looked there was nothing out of the usual there. Did I miss something? I just got reply to one of my comments in my email and the whole thread has disappeared.

Not my post - Keswickman. Someone posted the following reply to my comment - to which I was unable to respond as thread removed - possibly just as well I was not able to respond TBH as there was some rather dubious, to my way of thinking, suggestions. Maybe the was it?

No just scrolled back a few days. Not going to trouble Tracy as I know she isn't there but suspect it goes higher though can't see why.
I think that anybody would be forgiven for thinking th Censorship is indeed at play. Discussion of vaccine and statins appear to be off limits.
A quick search shows lots of posts for statins and vaccines. I imagine one or two have been in breach of the forum’s posting guidelines.

I don’t know if you had the chance to see my very unofficial and unscientific post about who does and doesn’t want the vaccine Steve but it was taken down for no other reason than it was discussing the vaccine. I was told this directly by admin. If you did get the chance to read it I think you’ll agree there was literally no other reason to remove it other than the results upset people. There was no nastiness. No opinion from me personally one way or another. Everyone who commented (apart from one individual who knows who she is and still continues to say the results completely incorrectly 🤣) was respectful and polite. I made sure to keep it that way. Still taken down and me banned for 7days! (turned out to be more like 10 even when told distinctly it would be 7) Tell me why if you can? 🤔🤔🤔

Makes one wonder and doubt about sensible freedom of expression on this site. Disappointing. I have been recommending this site to others for about 10 years but should I continue to do it? Maybe there is a better one.
If the main game is named depopulation, than any attempt to help people preserve their health is against the mainstream agenda. No wonder people can contact the doctors only per telephone, no wonder there are for months long waiting lists, no wonder people are in general not satisfied with the time and attention given to them by Drs, no wonder we are being given incorrect statistical data etc. New normal, lol!

I'm not dissatisfied. Yes, it was tough during the pandemic getting to see one's GP but even our little surgery in rural Wales has pulled its socks up and is doing much better on follow up. I also actually got to physically see a doctor at our surgery yesterday- after 3.5 years. And I'm pleased with the care. Older doctor has to be said. Much more balanced approach. I wonder if it's the training or the admin that's causing the changes - like in schools? And lack of funding too. So at that level of course, it is political.

Unfortunately, everything is political nowadays. Who has pushed the vacc for Cov?! Governments and politicians. Have you heard what was said in USA ?! "We have not forced anyone to get the jab!" And people were threatened to loose their jobs (existence), to loose the right to travel, to be denied to come to hospitals etc. if not jabbed. Shame, nothing less!

Interesting. The science behind the effects of the vaccine on the immune system and the effects of the disease on the immune system is where the complexities mount up. I have read that there is plenty of evidence that the combination of vaccine plus the illness creates a solid and useful immune response against severe covid -and that is where most people "are at". So why have another booster? It's because the evidence is that the booster, for older people and those whose whose immune systems are far less effective, will benefit from it. And I suppose the rationale is to keep our hospital ICU units there for other people than covid patients.

My surgery was in a mess well before covid and my inability to get an appointment is why I developed chronic fatigue and paroxysmal AF!!
Our GPs have simply taken on too many patients; masses of new housing and no extra infrastructure.
That’s so correct! In my area there must be a few thousand new apartments built in the past several years and there are no more GP surgeries, no more dentists or opticians opening up. The local population has increased quite considerably but it’s placed a higher demand on all aspects of healthcare.
Same here with schools, doctors, dentist totally impossible. It's all very well the government wanting more housing but the structure needs to be there too

That was one of the strongest reasons I joined… people on here are searching for information… reassurance and peace of mind… but to take away information..makes
It difficult to arrive at informed choices.
Scientific reasoning is achieved by discussion and open minds to new ideas… the world is in a mess because … open debate is being moderated.
Allowing one side of a story is by nature self limiting… this is where I finish telling mine.

I would be tempted to say that everything in this 'cyber world' is filtered for the strangest reasons. As an example, I was waiting for my cardiologist's account - it is sent first to my Medical Aid Society who settle their portion and once that is credited by the Cardio's bookkeeper, a statement is sent to me showing the balance I must pay. I had a notice from the Society showing it had been processed by them. I waited for the account, nothing happened, I phoned the Cardio's office, it had been sent they would send again, nothing!. To cut a long story short, I phoned my Service provider and discovered that all sorts of mail was put into a junk folder when they received it without my being told. A beautiful photo from a from a friend had been junked for no reason (it was a view of the river from her flat). Anyhow, they took me through the steps to minimise this overzealous filtering, so hopefully it will now be OK, but I suspect this happens a lot
On email - I get that - on this forum - not so much. But maybe there is a big junk folder somewhere on HU - who knows?

If concerned, may want to contact Keswickman Some posters prefer "peace and quiet" vs the contention that may occur on a subject with many opinions. 😊
I understand that not everyone wants to hear other opinions - then why ask? To others who may not want to read other opinions pass over.
However, when you report and have other members posts deleted you take away that freedom of choice for everyone who may want to engage in debate and hear others’ views and experiences. If the OP wants to delete a post I think it would be reasonable to post that they don’t want anymore opinions rather than delete without comment.
I always try to make it very clear that whatever anyone else says or has experience of is no predictor of what may be your experience - but people want certainty and with AF - there is no certainty, no predictable outcome, no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ answer or way of being.
What we do have here is each other to help pick our way through. I have always believed the group being more than the sum of the parts.
It greatly disturbs me that ‘we’ only want to hear the views of people who think and behave as ourselves - that is a root cause of division and war. In my view the internet is perfect for encouraging this which is why I get SO upset when views and experiences different from yours or mine are not heard and considered on this forum which I always have considered to be a temperate and supportive corner of the internet which actually supports and encourages debate of the merits and downfalls of various strategies, or so I thought. Obviously I was wrong.

What’s more is that I think I know whodunnit x Funny how people feel threatened by alternative ideas to theirs that also have credible and uptodate research to back them up. I was feeling attacked by some responses from certain individuals and considered removing myself but then I laughed, saw it for what it was and decided to refuse to be bullied in attempts to baffle with BS and chosen references-though some legitimate but slightly outdated. Auriculaire I’m hugely confused. I have found discussions on AFib on this forum hugely wide ranging. Maybe there is really useful information that you and others are withholding but could you at least give me some clue as to what you’re talking about and how it relates to helping us overcome the awful Afib? Sorry, I feel utterly in the dark!
The posts that are being taken down seem to be those which have anti statin opinions or anti covid vax opinions. These posts are being deemed by some as not really about afib and therefore inappropriate for the forum. At least that is my take on it.
Ah, thank you Auriculaire. I have been very baffled by all the recent excitement about censorship! I have referred to how my Afib started within days of a vax on this forum several times and have never been censored. And I discussed the issue with my EP who said that with such a massive global vaccination programme there was inevitably some shrapnel. (Thanks doc, I’m shrapnel!) Maybe the difference here is that I will only speak for myself and tend to think we can only be experts of our own experience on this forum. I guess if people are anti-vax there are plenty of other platforms for them.

I would like to say something and hope it isn't removed! First of all, many insurance companies have contracted with the government to treat the illegals. At least, that's what I was told. Explains why the wait to see your doctor is sometimes, most of the time, a long way off. Secondly, it seems politics run these forums. We, I'm afraid, are heading to third world ways. The first to go is free speech. No matter how you put it, fact checking is removing our free thinking. I heard once, "Intelligent people have an open mind". Makes sense. Even if you disagree with me, you have every right to speak your mind and choose what you want to believe. It's OK. This is America. Remember? You may be right, you may be wrong, but either way, you are free to voice your opinion and normal people welcome it. You all have helped me through many worrisome times, and I appreciate the information you share. I hope it continues. Have a great day!
I couldn’t agree more. Lots has been taken down in the name of advancing bum-fluffery and I don’t think my trust is instilled within this forum for the advocacy of some treatments negating the detrimental effects that they have on some people and their experiences being hushed. I’ve noted too that there are guard dogs in the pose of contributors which I find a bit laughable 😂😂😂
I agree with you so what I do is go on my search engine and put the name of the medication I'm taking, along with "patient's review" and I find they are very honest reviews. Good and bad are there. When I find someone else is complaining about the same thing with that medication, I ask my doctor to switch it. Works well for me. You find many more side effects to a medication then states on the package and even more than most doctors realize. It's true that our systems are all different so if you have a problem, you just may find another person having the same problems taking the same medication. Doesn't look like anyone's response is removed from that system. And thank you for your response.

‘Verify’ is the organisation which fact checks for MSM - in UK & US.
FactCheck UK & Which UK is funded by members and donations so tends to be more accurate and none politically biased but Europe hasn’t quite got the Polarization that US has unfortunately come to.

Ha ha ha- I hope you are all ‘Eyes Wide Open’ now too! No you are not conspiracy theorists but freethinking humans that have finally started seeing further. Everything has a political or socio-economic driving force and I did wonder why I suddenly started to get bombarded with emails telling me I had replies and then comparative silence? My mum always taught me to ‘Follow the money , Honey’! Boy was she right! You figure out who wins or loses and by how much should x,y or z happens and then you see how big the push back is and how peer pressure is applied through various mechanisms-media platforms etc I for one am totally not surprised only saddened at the ‘apparent’ censorship of free speech and wondered who was watching? That is exactly why I implore you all into educating yourselves and to fully research by reading everything on a topic and not just what is presented for you to read- that’s called ‘spoon feeding’ in my mind and it is being done to us all. Slowly and stealthily stealing common sense along with freedom of thought never mind speech. You are all the captains of your own ships so please don’t allow someone else to steer as their destination might well be nowhere near where you wanted to go. I rarely ask anyone a question that I don’t already know the answer to but I always consider the answer and it’s validity. I check myself for fair mindedness constantly and fully respect other’s rights to opinions. That is the way I choose to live my life but I am not blind to those that choose to dominate and obfuscate for their own agendas either. It would seem that only bum-fluffery are acceptable topics for conversation and contrary to sharing lived experiences and having a forum for learning.
