On 9/24/23 i tested positive for covid for the first time. I discovered that Paxlovid is contraindicated for people taking flecainide. (I take 100mg, twice a day. )
My pharmacist noted that Molnupiravir (Lagevrio) was used as an alternative to Paxlovid for people in my situation. I have the tablets here but was hoping to get pointers from you all as well as my EP so I could be prepared for side effects.
Have any of you taken Molnupiravir/Lagevrio?
The Covid was fairly mild yesterday but it's hitting me like a ton of bricks now! Stay well, all!

In the UK we're not automatically prescribed tablets when we have Covid, lets face it some people have symptoms that are very mild. I guess if it was really bad and showed no signs of easing after a few days then we'd consult our GP. Personally, I've not heard of anyone in the UK being given medication for it unless really unwell. Going into hospital, yes that happens but its quite rare.
I took Molnupiravir for 6 days because Paxlovid doesn't mix with Tikosyn either. I t mainly bothered my stomach with nausea and loss of appetite. I had a hard time getting out of bed for 3 days and developed body aches and headaches. I had little cough or congestion. There were no arrythmias including afib and I had no no cardio respiratory problems.
I developed neurological pain in my toes and fingers. 5 months later they persist and my energy level is low. Presumably most of the effects came from Covid and not yhe treatment but it is impossible to know. The only thing that helped my symptoms was THC which helped the pain and nausea. Hope you have a easier ride. etheral
