Already discussed 2 to 5 years ago here yes, but does anyone here in the UK today still manage to get hold of Tambocor and, if so, how/where??

I see it online at United Pharmacies but priced at £87 for 60 x 100mg tabs…..

Or at Isreal Pharm in the US at 37 bucks for 60 x 100mg but I imagine that shipping and taxes will be hefty plus at first glance it looks like you need an American bank account to pay….. Has anyone here bought Tambocor from Israel Pharm??

I definitely consider Tambocor to EASILY be the most effective form of Flecainide available (?!)

But if it isn’t available here in the UK (for less than 87 quid….) what other/generic brand do Flecainide users here prefer??

Any and all input would be greatly appreciated.

Best to all,

Mike

I always insisted on having the brand Accord Flecainide. They just worked better for me.

Me too Jean. It’s on my notes/script at pharmacy and they make sure I get that brand.

I’ve asked for it too but sadly, I don’t always get it and it here’s either don’t work or have worse side effects!

I relied on Tambacor for many years.

I too found it the best for me and once when I changed to generic Flecainide found I was back in AF a few days later.

About a year ago it became virtually impossible for my pharmacy to obtain therefore I had no alternative but to change to generic Flecainide.

This time I have had no issues.

I suggest you try generic Flecainide again before you exhaust your supply of Tambocor and see what happens. It is worth a try.

Taking jeanjeannie50 ‘s point currently I am on Accord as it happens but they regularly change suppliers

I use Flecainide daily, whatever brand it is, and there are lots! I'm a pensioner, so I get my medication free. I haven't noticed any difference between the brands. I am prescribed 75mg (3 25's a day) , and some days I just use 50 (2 25's) It works well for the anxiety, but it also affects memory and balance.
