Hmm, I've had 3 ablations and didn't have the stomach soreness you describe, but I did get out of bed one night a few days after my ablation to take the electric blanket off of my bed (I could feel the wires as I lay on it). I had the most searing pain in my chest for about 30 seconds. Reported it to my GP next morning and his advice was let him know if it happened again - it didn't. I think we get all sorts of aches and pains afterwards. I would see how you get on over the next few days and if it doesn't start feeling better, let your GP know, it could be a mild infection.
I agree with CDreamer and there is no 'normal' way of feeling after having an ablation. I've seen people report on this forum that they've had some sort of ache or pain for a while afterwards.
Don't put up with anything that worries you for long, you need peace of mind and to get back to feeling right.
As I've said 'give it time', but if worried you could ring the hospital where you had the procedure and ask to speak to one of your EP's AF nurses. Only you know how you are feeling.
You must report this to your doctor right away. It may be nothing, or it could be something more serious. Requires follow up questions from a trained medic.
Thanks for the replies.. I will call my EP to get his advice. It's not keeping me down. Although, I've been pretty fatigued since the procedure anyway..
I had the same thing on my second ablation. So odd! Dr said it could have been from placement on the table during procedure. Always good to check with dr, though. Good luck!
Thanks. I did call. They weren't concerned at all about it. It could be from coughing too. Since I had a slight cough from the tube and GA. I'm a few days out and it feel much much better but still not 100%.
lol Yeah... I can feel those abs under there... but nothing showing.. and with no working out, I'm doubting there'll be an appearance anytime soon... lol
