Hi everyone, Don't worry I'm not looking for names on this platform but I'm hoping some of you have long memories. I have decided to see an Electrophysiologist (EP) privately and remember someone recommending an EP in Edinburgh. If anyone recalls that post or is in a position to recommend an EP in Edinburgh or Glasgow would you please contact me privately with a name.
This is me trying to take control after being long suffering and my quality of life deteriorating significantly.
Many thanks.

I hope you have had some replies to your post. If you click on the link below, it should take you to a list of EP’s and Cardiologists from around the world. Using the boxes at the top of the page, you can select the UK. These are not recommendations, nor do they include everyone but you might find it helpful…..
Thank you. This may be a more comprehensive list than the one I have already researched. I am hoping to get some personal experiences too before I take the plunge.
Many years ago right at the start of my AF episodes, I was looking for advice and reassurance but hadn't yet discovered this marvellous site. My own GP recommended Chris Lang in Edinburgh if I decided to go private. I phoned Mr Lang to ask about fees etc but instead he talked to me for 20 mins or so about all aspects of my condition and what was available etc etc. He also recommended that I should have a cryo ablation first on the NHS and then recommended an EP closer to home for me who could do this. I found him to be a very reassuring and helpful person but have never met him in person.
Thank you Rosemary, I am building up a very positive picture of one or two EPs now to which you have helpfully contributed. This is a wonderfully supportive site. Thanks again T
there are 3 in Edinburgh. Dr Neil Grubb (very experienced, advisor to Scottish government ) he does not do private work, Chris Lang who I believe is good and does do private work and Collin Stirrat less experienced
